Army Public School Dighi was set up as a Balak Mandir of the Bombay Sappers in 1980. In the year 1997, The Bombay Sappers Public School upto Primary Level was established with a view to provide quality education to the children of personnel of armed forces living in Dighi, Kalas, Ganesh Nagar, Vishrantwadi and GREF Centre area.
To meet the growing educational aspirations of Army Children in the station the school was converted to Army School in Apr 2009.At present the school is under the aegis of Army Welfare Education Society, Delhi Cantt. The School has classes from I to IX with strength of 895 children as on 20 Aug 2011. The School has been re-designated as Army Public School Dighi wef 01 Jul 2011.
The school has been affiliated to CBSE up to middle class level and upto Secondary Level wef April 2010 and wef April 2011 respectively. The CBSE Affiliation No. is 1130212.
