
Vishrantwadi, 27th January 2026: Army Public School (APS), Dighi marked the 77thRepublic Day of India with a grand and patriotic celebration that brought together students, teachers and parents in a vibrant display of national pride. The event was held with traditional fervour, reflecting the spirit of unity, discipline and love for the nation.
The occasion was graced by Chief Guest Col. Yatin Arora, Commanding Officer of Training Battalion-2 at BEG and Centre, and a distinguished alumnus of the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. He was warmly welcomed by Principal Kavita Kadam and Vice Principal Dnyaneshwar Shinde. His presence added dignity and inspiration to the programme.

This year’s Republic Day theme focused on the 150th anniversary of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’, highlighting its historical and emotional significance in India’s freedom movement. The celebration began with soulful renditions of ‘Saare Jahan Se Accha’ and ‘Aye Vatan Mere’ by primary wing students, setting a deeply patriotic tone.

Pre-primary students won hearts with a graceful dance performance, while the senior wing presented a powerful Hindi poem, a patriotic group song and an energetic dance sequence that reflected India’s cultural diversity and national spirit.
Addressing the gathering, Col. Arora urged students to imbibe values of discipline, dedication and service to the nation. He emphasised the role of youth in building a strong, responsible and united India.
