INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION |
Army Public
School Dighi gathered under the soaring skies of freedom to celebrate the 77th
Independence Day with unparalleled enthusiasm and patriotism, with this year's
theme being "KARMA VEER-A tribute to all men and women in uniform.”, a
heartfelt acknowledgment of the sacrifices and unwavering dedication of the
valiant soldiers who have safeguarded our nation's sovereignty and freedom
throughout history.
Distinguished
chief guest, Mrs. Archana Patwardhan chairperson AWWA Bombay Engineering Group
& Centre graced the occasion by her esteemed presence. She added an aura of
reverence and authenticity to the event, setting the stage for an emotional and
patriotic celebration.
The day's events
commenced with the resonant strains of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) all girls
band, setting a somber yet inspiring tone for the proceedings The notes of the
band, created an atmosphere of reverence and gratitude towards the brave
hearts.
The august
gathering was addressed by Principal Mrs. Yasmin Kaur, followed by a series of
awe-inspiring events. The celebration started with a mesmerizing Bharatanatyam
dance followed by soul-stirring song and dance performance by pre-primary
students as a reminder that the spirit of patriotism is instilled from a young
age, nurturing the future generation's love and respect for the nation and its defenders.
A medley of patriotic songs resounded through the air, led by a group of
talented singers who infused the occasion with a sense of unity and pride.
The celebration
reached its emotional zenith with the rendition of the song "Chali Re
Chali Aaj Purva Apni Desh Ki Gali.", a powerful melody which captured the
essence of the day, encapsulating the soldier's unwavering commitment to
protect their homeland. It resonated deeply with the audience, eliciting a
strong sense of solidarity and appreciation.
The audience
witnessed an extravagant ‘FLASH MOB’ dance pattern involving over 175 students
from classes 4 to 8th.
The grand event
culminated with a thought-provoking speech by the Chief Guest which highlighted
the importance of minute yet crucial steps students can take to preserve the
resources of our motherland. The speech left an indelible impact on all
present, reinforcing the importance of unity, sacrifice, and dedication.
Vibrant performances, stirring music, and
heartfelt speeches generated in students the value of freedom which is their
greatest strength and gives them the immense potential to grow and pursue their
dreams and to live their own lives. It developed in them a sense of
independence which promotes discipline, harmony, self-respect, and
free-thinking.
Continuing
with the patriotic fervor, the students of Army Public School, Dighi will
perform the entire sequence of today’s program at ‘Seasons Mall’ on 16th
August 23.
Mrs.
Archana Patwardhan, Chairperson AWWA, delivered a wonderful speech, laced with
nationalism, to motivate the audience to develop themselves and the next
generations as nation builders. Her speech gave a detailed insight into the
significance of this important day, while also appreciating the entire APS
Dighi fraternity for their relentless and dedicated effort for the continuous
progress of the school. Mr. Dnyaneshwar
Shinde, Vice Principal of the school proposed the vote of thanks. The program
culminated with the National Anthem, rendered by the school choir for the children with special needs. The program generated a renewed sense of patriotic spirit
among the students, making them realize the value of freedom, the greatest gift
to mankind, and the belonging to a great nation, which has given them immense
potential to grow and pursue their dreams, thereby making India a great nation. |

APS Dighi Board Results |
The students of Army
Public School Dighi have once again proved that “Success is a result of consistent hard work and determination”, and
this is clearly reflected in the stupendous results for Std X & XII. The students have elegantly carried forward
the great legacy of 100% results, which has now become a norm for the school. It is undeniably the enduring efforts of the
students that have resulted in these commendable scores, but it wouldn’t have
been so, without the dynamic and motivating leadership of Ms. Yasmin Kaur
Bains, Principal of Army Public School Dighi, who came in with a long-term vision
of raising the bar several notches higher than the preceding years. Her ability to lead from the front and her
indomitable spirit, coupled with the relentless pursuit of excellence and strong
resolve of the teachers, have contributed immensely to the success of the
current batch of students, thereby setting bigger objectives for the years to
come.Highlights of the
results for the academic year 2021-2022:For Std XII, 105 students appeared for the
examinations, and almost one-third of the total students scored above 90%, a
commendable feat as compared to several other schools in Pune. Mansi
Chouhan from Commerce stream, is the overall school topper with
96.4%.Hipparkar
Ankita Tatobe stood second with 96.0%.Shreyash
Kumar stood third with 95.8%.For Std X, 207 students appeared for examination
in the academic year 2021-2022:
Anisha
Amruta Jadhav is the school topper with a score of 98.2%, while Ovi Ajit Yadav stood second with a score of 98% followed by Sandhya
Sunil Patil at the third position with a score of 97.6%. |

No Bag Aids Creative And Holistic Learning |
“The mind stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions”
Introduction: As per the provisions of NEP 2020, efforts are being made to help the students not only to
carry a lighter bag but also to go without it. It mandates the participation of students in bagless days to
learn through crafts and enrichment activities.
Accordingly, in a novel experiment, Army Public School, Dighi conducted its ‘First Bagless Day’ for the
middle school classes VI to VIII on Friday, 11 August 2023, in alignment with NEP 2020 guidelines and
fostering wholesome learning environment to our students.

Art has many benefits for children. The fun filled and engaged activities focuses on developing creative,
speaking, listening and fine motor skills of the students.
Healthy mind leads to healthy body
Our first ‘Bagless Day’ began with students participate in Marathon- RUN FOR FUN. The race was
flagged off by Mrs Yasmin Kaur, Principal Aps Dighi. The run began with high josh and enthusiasm. The
first 50 participants were shortlisted and were awarded with certificate of appreciation. Movie Time : Next was screening of Hindi movie Dangal. A true story, packed with many powerful lessons. All the
students enjoyed the movie and were greatly inspired, as it brilliantly captures the attributes of hard
work and perseverance.
Image minds
Rakhi making and card making activities were conducted for
classes 6 to 8 under the theme ‘Ode to Soldiers’. The students
of grade 6 made attractive Rakhis and displayed them in an
innovative way. The students of grade 7 and 8 made inventive
cards for the soldiers with beautiful quotes and wishes. All
the students were engrossed in completing the artwork. Each
artwork was unique and exquisite. The main intention was to
pay gratitude and tribute to our brave soldiers and to unleash
the inner artistic in the students.
Rock the floor (talent show)
After the activity, a thrilling music and dance session
followed, as music accompanied with dance is said to
develop higher thinking and social skills. students were given
opportunity to showcase their unique skills or talent. These multi-skill activities would faster the development of
soft skills such as aesthetic, values, cooperation, teamwork,
judicious, use of raw materials, creativity, quality,
consciousness, etc.
So, the day was abuzz with various activities that helps the
children to gain knowledge, boost, self-esteem and to have
unlimited fun.

Azadi Ka
Amrit Mahotsav,
is an initiative by the Government of India to commemorate 75 glorious years of
progressive India and its rich history, diverse population, magnificent culture
and great achievements. In a bid to celebrate
the monumental occasion, to invoke a sense of patriotism in the hearts of the young students and
to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag, a special assembly was organized by the
students of Class X A. The
plethora of activities included:
1. Speech on the significance of the national flag
to enhance awareness
2. A street play in Sanskrit was
enacted by students to popularize the ‘Har Ghar
Jhanda” campaign.
Aerial recording of the entire program was covered by using drones.
3. Presentation in classes on the
significance of India’s National Flag
The
objective of the assembly was achieved as it was evident from the faces of the
students that were lit up, reflecting a deep sense of pride of being part of an
ancient culture and a progressive country. The importance of the information
regarding the Indian National Flag and the way it motivated thousands of
freedom fighters across the country was a lesson that all the students carried
home leaving behind a firm belief that our country is in safe hands with the
future generations. |

SUBROTO MUKHERJEE CHAMPIONSHIP |
Dream team in the making……….
Army Public School Dighi participated
in the Pimpri- Chinchwad Region, Subroto Mukherjee Football, U-14 and U-17
football competition organized by Districts Sports Committee from 21st
July to 1st August 2022. Almost 40 schools participated in the
event. An inspiring act of leadership and sportsmanship was displayed by our
students. Both the U-14 and U-17 teams
qualified for the finals. U-14 football team secured the 1st
runner-up in the finals.
The
finals for U-17 came to a thrilling conclusion on 1st
August 2022 wherein, APS Dighi defeated Elpro International for score of 1/0 in
the finals and thus brought laurels to the school for the 4th
consecutive year by their commendable achievement. |

The Southern Command Principal Meet At APS Dighi |
Army Public School Dighi is proud to be hosting The Southern Command Principals’ Meet of all Army Public Schools (APSs) of HQ Southern Command at BEG and Centre Kirkee, Pune on 25th August 2022. The Principal Meet is an annual event being organised to discuss the comprehensive progress of Army Public Schools focussing on academic and administrative aspects in order to achieve all round excellence. |
