With freedom in our hearts and pride in our spirits, the 78th Independence Day at APS Dighi unfolded beneath the soaring skies to pay a splendid tribute to our nation's freedom and the spirit of Women Empowerment. The ceremony began with the resonant strains of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) band, welcoming our Chief Guest, Brigadier S.R. Mazagaonkar (Retd.). Following this, Brigadier Mazagaonkar graciously hoisted the National Flag, a symbol of our pride and unity. This moment was accompanied by the National Anthem, serving as a stirring reminder of our collective patriotism.

The day's celebrations centered around the theme of "Viksit Bharat," symbolizing our nation's steadfast commitment to achieving development by 2047. The highlight of the event was the Girls NCC Band’s performance, which exemplified courage and discipline, powerfully embodying the spirit of Women Empowerment.

The celebration unfolded a series of captivating performances, including eloquent speeches, melodious musical and poetic renditions, and a stirring patriotic song. A memorable dance performance sequence, set to the evocative tunes of 'Mardaani' and 'Aigiri Nandani,' celebrated the strength and resilience of women with grace and vigor.

The day concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the Head Boy, who acknowledged the invaluable contributions of everyone involved, from our dedicated teachers to the meticulous technical support team.

Students departed with a renewed sense of patriotism and realization of their role in shaping India’s future. The celebration not only honoured our past but also kindled a spirit of commitment and unity, reinforcing the ideals of freedom and empowerment in every heart present.
