Army Public School Dighi, set up as a Balak Mandir of the Bombay Sappers in 1980, is located amidst the beautiful Dighi Hills. The sprawling premises of the school exude a kind of serenity which offers perfect surrounding for perfect learning. The school is exclusively located within the defence premises Training Battalion 2 with high security patrols helping students and parents feel safe and secure.
To meet the growing educational aspirations of Army Children in the station the school was converted to Army School in Apr 2009.The School has been re-designated as Army Public School Dighiw.e.f. 01 Jul 2011. At present the school is under the aegis of Army Welfare Education Society, Delhi Cantt, with total strength of 2823 children as on 1 Mar 2020.
Since its inception, the school has been doing a yeoman’s service and has touched and re-defined many lives by inculcating qualities like discipline, punctuality, integrity, forbearance and righteousness. The school creates an exciting and inspiring learning experience for every child’s most exciting days. These impressionable minds are carefully nurtured and groomed to ensure that they put in their full potential as they grow into dynamic citizens.
The school has been affiliated to CBSE up to middle class level and upto Secondary Level w.e.f. April 2010 and w.e.f. April 2011 respectively. The CBSE Affiliation No. is 1130212.
